In Response To: Balor, what, the Great? (The DEcline)

: Firstly by looking at the game in a literal sense we
: remove all of the fun that comes with it. Why can't,
: in a metaphysical way, Balor by good and Alric evil.
: It just depends on your perspective.

: By looking at the game in different ways every person can
: have there own understanding, I mean its not like a
: saying anything that bizarre anyway. Good, evil,
: leveler, who really notices anyway?

Of course, many things depend on one's perspective. But, there are facts which cannot be defined by one's perspective.

For example. I have a tennis ball in my hand. I drop it onto the grass.

You might say that I slipped my grip and it fell down. Forrest might say that I purposely let it drop. Zeph might say that I had an involuntary muscle spasm and it fell on account of that.

But no one can say that the tennis ball didn't fall on the grass. It is a fact that it hit the grass. It is a fact that in TFL, Balor wears the Mantle of the Leveler. And it is a fact that the Leveler seeks not to conquer, but to destroy. And since 'good' or 'light' wants to build and prosper, the Leveler is not good. He is evil. This is also obvious since he employs agents and servants and slaves of the Dark.

Balor is evil, Soulblighter who fought in his footsteps was evil, and Alric was good.
