: Perhaps. But then, what's b'Y'laggo doing messing around
: in the Untamed Lands? I thought all his followers were
: up in the Ermine.
That was before we knew it was in the Untamed lands.
: Huh. They always turned away when I reached the bridge.
: Never followed me.
I didn't use the bridge my first time through. I wove around the Changeling that blocks the path.
: I dunno. Maybe they knew it stored memories, and thought
: they could find how to kill Cartuke with it? But like
: Kyrilla said, they couldn't use it.
: Good point. I was thinking that Fosgarach was somewhere
: that a signpost pointed to in Salvation, but you're
: right; that graveyard was called Fosgarach Rullick, or
: at least one big tomb in it was.
: The Ghosts were Kyrilla's illusions. "Some foul
: magic meant to trick us" says one of the warriors
: at the start of The Messenger.
Okay, that made sense.
: I don't think the Baron and Kyrilla are related. The
: Baron's daddy was Baron when Kyrand was alive and
: fighting Cartuke. As for why she was trying to kill
: the Baron - she wasn't. She was trying to use him
: against Fenris, because the Baron thought Fenris had
: betrayed Kyrand and was some evil bastard.
(re-watching the opening of the Messenger)
You're right. it sounds like the Baron is Kyrand's son, but that's not necessarily true.
: I dunno... Cartuke seems to have told her that Four Bear
: and Fenris and ne'Ric were his enemied, and had
: betrayed him and killed him in battle. The Baron
: thought so too. Other people distrusted Fenris, and
: ne'Ric was dishonored for not saving him, so people in
: general seemed to look down on our heroes. I dunno
: why, but it seems to be common.
Other people knew that Kyrand was fighting Cartuke when it happened, I presume. How he kept Kyrilla from finding this out is beyond me.
: Heh, yeah. If Kyrilla doesn't move after teleporting, she
: teleports back. I suspect this was something to
: related to that.
I never read the tips until I complete the level. Now it makes sense.
: Perhaps she made the wasps think she was the Hive Mother,
: with her illusions and stuff.
I guess, but she could have gotten the fir'Bolg to kill Fenris using similar tactics, I'd think.
Also, where were the bre'Unor? There's a picture of one on the downloads page, but they don't appear in the actual game.
: You're not supposed to be able to escape it. You've just
: got to inflict enough damage on Cartuke before it
: kills you. Not an easy task on anything above Timid.
: I've only done it once.
Really? I'd assumed it comes down when you've inflicted enough damage on Cartuke. I've sent the whole she-bang to i hav filmz. Since they're on normal, they aren't really Mythmaster material.
