: Alric was resistant (he's never immune) to lightning back
: in Madrigal too - hell, he was pretty damn resistant
: against all those Fetch at the end of TFL, if you
: think about it. Balmung isn't what makes him
: lighting-proof. Second, they never mention the
: Deceiver's death after "Shiver" either, but
: we SEE him die. Likewise, you can play Twice Born and
: SEE the shards of Alric's sword fall to the ground,
: and he chases after Soulblighter unarmed. The next
: level he has a sword again, but not Balmung -
: presumably he just picked up someone else's sword.
Well Alric is very resistant to lightning but Balmung does make him immune to it. I remember placing a berserk on a map with Balmung and The Deciever. The Deciever used his Cloudkill on that berserk who had the sword Balmung and he never got hurt by the Cloudkill which does electric damage. If you check in Fear in the artifact you can see the unit with the sword Balmung will be immune to lightning.
: Except that it was supposed to be a Light age. The last
: age was Light. Balor failed to make this a Dark age.
: Then Soulblighter tried to make it Dark, and he too
: failed.
Yeah, Balor failed in making the Sword Age into a dark age... or at least we think that. The Sword Age is not over yet but so far it seems the cycle has been broken.
