Also, the common people (and the nobles) do not know **** about the whole Leveller stuff.
Only the Avatara and a few very erduite scholars and Heron Guards actually have knowledge of how the cycle works. Besides, Connacht did save the world from the Leveller and it's not like the Warlocks are strong allies of the Cath Bruig, they serve only because Mjarin wants them to, not because of any loyality to it.
Now I agree the nobles might not be Connacht's best buddies, but they would probably be more pissed off that they weren't becoming the Emperor (since Connacht is a nonnoble and a barbarian, that would also piss them off)
Of course, we fall in the erduite scholars catagory, and we also know the Future(from the prespective of just after Mjarin bites the dust)...so of course we are skeptical of Mjarin being the Leveller.
There was supposed to be a grand, descive point here, but I've totally forgotten it, if I ever thought of one to begin with.
