: That's partly where the issue lies. If you think that all
: prerelease info that isn't contradicted by the game is
: canon, and I think it is pseudocanon, we'll both have
: to wait for something concrete to come along.
The fact that there are large troves of obviously false prerelease info casts all prerelease info into doubt, just as the screaming hordes of contradictions (even self-contradictions) and sloppiness in Myth III casts the entire game's truth into doubt.
: That refers to the Fallen Lords who were turned from the
: Light. You can stretch that quote to include the
: bodies of people like Connacht and Tireces, but it
: does not mean the Leveler can ever be a hero since
: that is proven wrong in the epilogue.
Sort of. Balor is a sort of semi-Connacht, because he still loathes the Myrkridia, so it would follow that Moagim is a sort of semi-Tireces, etcetera. However, Tireces and Connacht are, as you say, not The Leveller.
: Connacht calling the Tain "a Tain" is an
: obvious example of a mistake in TWA.
Like I said before, the mistake is larger than that. The game says they can just mass produce Tains, in which case Connacht should have had them make a billion so everyone can go around imprisoning Myrkridia. Also, some say that the Tain's world is a pocket universe, in which case the Tain would be permanently bound to that universe by its creators. This is the main contradiction, aside from the sheer stupidity of mass-producing this ultra-cool artifact. The Tain-bound pocket universe makes perfect sense because when the Tain itself exploded into shards, so did its world. Where the rest of the Tain should have been there was nothing, and so where the rest of the Tain world should have been there were strange dark seas of nothingness.
: I agree... you'd be hard pressed to find someone (or a
: group of people for that matter) who could duplicate
: something like that. Unless they've been sitting
: around for the past sixty years doing nothing :)
Damn straight. :)
