: Not quite. Mazzarin's spell gave Connaught the knowledge
: that the Smiths of Muirthemne would be able to make
: the Tain- but only if they had access to the Ungoren
: (sp?) Tomen, the Dwarven Book of Building, one of the
: most treasured atrifacts in Myrgard.
it's Unkarak, pretty close guess.
I am going to quote the whole paragraph:
"Mazzarin's spell had changed Connacht. In his mind resided the history and future of the world. On the heroes' return to Llancarfan, Connacht went immediately to the city's Main Forum and spoke to the dwarf Traval, Forgemaster of the Smiths of Muirthemne. Connacht described to them an ancient device that was capable of sweeping away and imprisoning whole groups of foes. The smiths could make such a device, but not without the mighty Unkarak Tomen, the Dwarven book of building, held within the great forge of Myrgard. "
whoa back up MJ...
"...an ancient device that was capable of sweeping away and imprisoning...The smiths could make such a device but not without the mighty Unkarak Tomen..."
Judging by Myth I and II, The Tain is ONE single artifact. It was not some kind of thing you could just go out and with a fancy Dwarven book and a lot of trial and error create your very own interdimentional prison!
Seriously tha Tain is like the Ibis Crown, i.e, one of a kind.
Presumably copies could be made (just like the Ibis Crown had 11 ordinary copies made) but you could not just go out and build one. It destroys the whole magic relic thing about the Tain for it to be so blatantly idioticly refered as "a Tain" as if it could be mass produced.
