: When I beat the game the first time, I was thoroughly
: dissappointed. I was expecting a great
: "Myth" story- but all I got was a pathetic
: attempt to make some mysterious story following a
: couple heroes. I think CoD is better, even though they
: didn't have the top-notch map-makers spending all day
: and night working on a bungie-certified project.
Well they DID have Ares..ah i guess your right :)
: Certainly there were great things about it, and it is
: a beautiful scenario. However, if it was more related
: to the actual Myth world it would have been far more
: interesting. Also, why did they not use the pregame
: map? I had NO IDEA where I was the entire game.
I agree with you TOTALLY!!! Where the hell am i on that beach? Beach of a river or the ocean?
: In M1
: and M2, I found lots of fun peicing the story together
: with dates, locations, and people. All characters
: reffered to in this game, for the most part, have
: nothing to do with Myth.
Damn man you read my mind! Absolutely NO Myth references except for places. And i don't really count the units.
: I want to hear more about
: Alric and his empire. I want to hear more about the
: Fallen Lords, or at least some of their successors.
I know! I thought all this stuff about Untamed Lands had something to do with SB's temple but nooooo!
: This does not necessarily have to be the primary plot,
: but PLEASE, back up this new storyline with peices of
: the old. Supposedly this took place past the untamed
: lands... at least make a map of it! The narrators,
: unfortunately, sucked. I'm sorry but the narrator in
: M1 and M2 had a great english accent which made the
: game more interesting and more profound.
I know! That voice was a bit high for a big fat guy carrying a shovel, wearing big ass floor tiles on his back, and wearing beaver skins.
: The whiny
: voice emitting from my speakers when I loaded the
: first level startled me: I even checked to make sure
: that they were working. In fact the narrator was so
: annoying that I had to turn off my speakers during the
: intro to each level. The one good voice, however, was
: Kyrilla.
Kyrilla's voice was pretty good. But her pregame journal entry was a bit...shrill
: The maps are great, (both in playability and size) but
: the storyline was weak, not intertwined with Myth
: storyline well enough, and the lack of a continental
: map made it even less interesting. Sometimes the
: gameplay was slow... incredibly slow in fact. Either
: that or it was EXTREMELY repetitive, annoyingly so.
: I'll give it a 3 out of 5.
Man people sure are generous for this! 1.5 or 2 outta 5 for me
