: Ok, I feel it's time I actually threw some of my weight
: around here and used my Codex-like knowledge of the
: Absolute Tru7h to set some things straight: Gene
: Seabolt, the author of GURPS, evidently had extensive
: access to genuine Bungie information which was not
: available anywhere but from the mouths of Bungie
: themselves. This is deducable because it contains info
: which was on the prerelease pages many years ago, but
: which Seabolt (A) Wouldn't have known where to find
: and (B) Would have gotten 404 errors on unless he knew
: about the Internet WayBack Machine. So logically, if
: it wasn't available on the internet anywhere, but it
: was real Bungie information (as can be verified on the
: prerelease pages), then it must have come from Bungie.
: Therefore Seabolt had access to Bungie information,
: either in written documentation or straight from the
: horses' mouths.
: Scott Campbell, the lead designer on M3 and the guy who
: wrote all of its story and the rather large expanded
: universe behind it (I have to give him credit for
: that, he did outdo at least what I've seen of Bungie's
: work in the effort he went through to know and
: document everything about the universe he was writing
: in)... Bungie didn't give him much more documentation
: than the proverbial 'pizza box with "Cliche"
: and "Non-Cliche" columns'. So most of the
: 'new' info in M3 he either got out of GURPS, or made
: up on his own.
: So that's that.
So, GURPS is canon.
Myth III is not.
I think that's the conclusion.
