A note for a couple of our newish regulars: proper nettiquite, from way back in the ways before HTTP or HTML, when all communication was done via plain text on UseNet, email, and even BBS's (the old kind you had to dial into, not WebBBS scripts like this) - anyway, nettiquite dictates that you not quote an entire message to add a few lines to the bottom of it. Either respond to individual points in the midst of the text, or snip most of the body of the message in a case like this and put your consolidated comments after it.
: So for the normal nonayslumer who would sell his soul for
: a glance at the Total Codex there is plenty of
: mystery.
Aye.
: Still, I like the way this works out so I'm not objecting
: strongly.
Thanks. I think.
: A couple questions and a comment though.
: 1) *Watchs the Trow beg the Forest Giants, their enemies
: for eons, to aid them in an even more pathetic way
: then Murgen and Cu Roi did.* How strong is a Calliach
: in an actual fight?
Let me put it this way: Trow is to Callieach as Warrior is to Avatara. Which makes perfect sense, seeing how the Callieach are actually avatara of the Dark Gods in this story (a possibility mentioned in Principia actually). Perhaps each Callieach is the personal avatar of one of the Dark Gods, even... and now that there's a permanant two-way portal to our world instead of just a millennial comet, we can't just kill them all off, because they can keep reincarnating themselves.
: 2)Who's side would the Warlocks be on?
I originally thought that the Scholomance would have been aligned with the Light after M2, but now that I think about it the Warlocks will do anything for power, and some are even humored to have sold their souls to the Dark Gods... And seeing how the Warlocks are mostly individual practitioners and not any sort of command structure, maybe some of them work for the Light (I mean, hey, they're sharing Dreams left and right now!) and some of them foolishly ally with the Dark Gods.
: 3) Screw the need for dreams, I'm sure the major cities
: will be defended at least to hold off the Dark if
: Alric is a half way sane leader. Major: Covenant,
: Madrigal, Muirthemne. (Scales, Tyr, Tandem and Tyr not
: having any mucho importance)
Certainly the cities would defend themselves. But the Imperial Army of the Cath Bruig (as opposed to the cities' armies) would be desperately searching for Dreams, as it's obvious that's the only way we're going to win this war.
Random additional thought: Mazzarin should be involved somehow. And I want to see the Light using the Dream of Unlife. Maybe they can bring Mazzarin back to life to learn what he knew back in his day or something...
