: Beware, spoilers be here :P
: The only one I could think of was: * Eaten alive by
: Lady's magical fire-serpents (after Whisper's
: Taken-ing)
That was magic dragonfly thing. It might have impaled him but... it didn't eat him exactly. More like grabbed him in its mouth and took him off for "re-conditioning." :)
Croaker was completely shocked when he saw him at Charm.
: Most of the time it was Croaker's work, too. The ambush
: at the end of Shadow's Linger was brutal; a gang of
: guys hacked at him until they were exhausted. That's
: got to be a lot of hacking!
Eh, I left that one out. I loved that ambush. :D
: PS- Btw, did you think the ending of Silver Spike was the
: least satisfying out of the endings of all the books?
: I thought it was.. the fates of many of the main
: characters were too harsh imo.
You're not the only one who feels this way. Thing is, TSS was written to fill in some gaps during The White Rose and *between* TWR and Shadow Games.
: Also, I don't think it
: was a good idea to bury the Limper right next to the
: silver spike. Even despite the fact that he would
: probably be only a strand or two of boiled meat.
It was also a bad idea to just leave Catcher's head-cleaved corpse behind after the Battle at Charm but.. ah well. Live and learn. :)
: Err, one last complaint :) The whole twist about the
: Tree-god sending Darling and the creature-army
: immediately away from the Limper before he was
: finished to head North, but sparing time for Raven to
: meet his kids along the way? Nonsense.
Yeah.
