!!Nope. There is no place in Myth 1 or 2 that it says any of that.

The Codex was inside a Citdel or church or something like that, but the Dark came and destroyed it. The Watcher was looking for it. It is implied in Myth 1 or 2 that it could be senced... Example: The Deciever senced the Tain Shard.... maybe Soulblighter senced it there but didn't have a chance to get it.
