: The first two Myth titles have shown us that the Trow
: respect people who can defeat them in battle despite
: being tiny, puny, fleshy creatures who can be easily
: stomped on. Myrdred's being instrumental in the Oghre
: rebellion, one of the most serious military threats
: the Trow have ever faced, would almost certainly be
: enough to win the respect of Nyx's chosen.
That is if you consider Myth 3 as part of Myth story which many of us do not. That (the Oghre rebellion) would not explain why The Deciever said that he and the Trow fought against the Myrkridia once.
: If you go by the strictest interpreation of the ages, the
: ages change when the comet comes. Connaught was born
: under the sign of the comet. Therefore the game takes
: place in the Wolf Age, although it is likely that
: later historians would only have hailed it as such
: /after/ Connaught was victorious. Even if this were
: not the case, the title is reasonable, considering
: that the hero is Connaught, the Wolf.
Again, if you consider Myth 3, but ONLY Myth 3 called Connacht the Wolf to explain the name for the "Wolf Age." Most of the story takes place during the Wind Age. Just the ending it speaks of the Wolf Age. He was not born during the Wolf Age.... then he would not have fought during the Wind Age.
: You're assuming a) that it's the same Mazzarin and b)
: that the Mazzarin we see in Myth3 is a regular shade.
: Mazzarin was arguably the most powerful archmage ever
: to grace the world of Myth, and it seems reasonable
: that he might have been able to fix himself a
: life-after-death in some capacity.
It makes little or no sence to think that Mazzarin in TFL is not the same greatest Avatara Mazzarin we know of. Maybe if there were a lot of Shades in the game, but there are only a handfull of them... so it wouldn't be hard to come up with a different name for that Shade. Why wouldn't it be the same Mazzarin? I answered this in the post "Myth III: The Conradiction (Again)."
: You're assuming that Damas found the Tain before he
: became Soulblighter. As for the ancient evil stuff,
: baer in mind that he's only referred to as an ancient
: evil in the pre-release info. Which is stuff that
: /didn't/ make it into the final game.
I am NOT assuming Damas found the Tain before becomeing Soulblighter... Myth 3 is saying he did. The same Myth 3 you seem to be defending. I answered some of this in the other post.
: Martel.
