: Fetch working at the Devoid.

: The Empire gets word of these events and goes to put a
: stop to the whole deal; they inform the Dwarves of the
: whole story, at which point the Dwarves turn against
: the Fetch. The Ghols then attack the Dwarves, and the
: Trow, not liking to be disobeyed, turn against their
: Ghol armies (the Trow are reluctant to fight on their
: own nowadays). In the ensuing battle, the Fetch very
: nearly complete the portal to the other realm and
: release the Dark Gods, but the device is destroyed in
: time and it is not opened.

: I haven't figured out the whole rest of the story yet,
: and I need to sleep soon, but somehow the Callieach
: manage to return to our world. The Trow don their
: ancient battle armor and swords and go to war with the
: Callieach once more, allied with the forces of Light.
: Spiders, Fetch, Ghols, and Callieach, maybe the
: Myrkridia too if we accept M3's origin for them (which
: I'm not sure I do), all allied against the forces of
: the Light. The lesser necromancers would probably be

I think thats way too much for one game, considering how in depth we like things to get.

Maybe make part one the battle against thhe fetch before they can bridge the world. And perhaps they get the portal to work, but we destroy it soon after. Alric disappears at some point during the game. Thats the end of game one.

The second game is the battle against the few hundred Callieach to make it through the knot. They stay hidden for a few dozen years, then emerge and wreak havoc. Perhaps a dark sorcerer/leveller shows up to lead them. Maybe they brought back some part of balors head, and resurrected him or something. I like that idea...Game two would end with the world being laid waste to by the callieach. The final level or two would be about the defence of either Muirthemne or some far away haven, which the allies manage to secure.

Game three:
Alric shows back up, with vastly increased power and knowledge-he was off in some far away land doing god only knows what. Theres time to think up that later : ). He rallies the light, routs the callieach, and informs us that Balor is no longer only the Leveller, but the spirit of the Dark Gods posessing Balors body. Trow and Ghols both go extinct in the process.

Game four:
So he was nothing but a channel for them all along. Then the quest begins to reunite the 49 dreams or Wyrd, within alric (see my previous post on dreams). This could be played as a race against the dark sort of thing-they're trying to get to them first. He then becomes something like the embodiment of Wyrd, and goes to battle against the Dark Gods through Balor. Insane dream war results. The Dark Gods are destroyed, therefore there can be no more leveller. Alric perhaps gives his life in the process-but in donig so, releases the One Dream unto the world, guarenteeing peace for all time.

Could use some work, of course. And I know that seems like a lot of games-but it all adds up to the magic number 7 ! so of course bungie HAS to do it! and i think this would lead to a definite ending.
