: Since Myrdred was an Avatara during the Wind Age,
: wouldn't it stand to reason that he would STILL be an
: Avatara during the Wolf Age, since the Wolf Age
: started at the end of Myth III? If I knew someone who,
: lets say was a teacher, from 1898-1925; I might say
: that he was a teacher in the 20th Century, since that
: is the last thing he did and he was a teacher in the
: 20th century LONGER than he was a teacher in the 19th
: century. I'm not saying he wasn't a teacher in the
: 19th century at all, I'm just associating him with his
: latest (and longest) time of service.

I thought that too, but remember you are assuming as well. But if he was an Avatara before the Wolf Age they would have said somethings like "...Myrdred an Avatara during the Wind and Wolf Ages." You are saying Myth 3 is part or should be part or at least considered part of the Myth story.

: This IS a contradiction. As far as Myth III goes, at NO
: TIME did Myrdred fight with the Trow. However, after
: his expulsion from Llancarfan, he may have made new
: 'friends.' And I doubt the Trow were untouched by the
: Myrkridian hordes.

Well if you consider Myth 3, the Myrkridia were with the Trow and against the Light. They were trapped in the Tain then the Trow and the rest of the Dark were defeated... then Myrdred was uncovered as a traitor. Even if Myrdred became a friend with the Trow after being exiled it wouldn't explain how the Trow and Myrdred fought against the Myrkridia if they were in the Tain.

: But if you listen to the Prologue, it talks about
: Connacht ushering in the Wolf Age. To call it the Wind
: Age and place the story in the last few years of a
: thousand year age seems a little silly. This story was
: about the coming of the next age.

He ushered in the Wolf Age as a hero, but still most of the story takes time during the Wind Age not the Wolf Age. Where Connacht rised from the East and ... defeated the Dark.

: This is based on the ASSUMPTION that the shade in 'The
: Watcher' level is the same. It's been said here before
: that "Mazzarin" was probably a pretty
: popular name for some time after Mazzarin did some
: damage to the dark, so to speak. And besides, I also
: have a hard time believing that the greatest Avatara
: of all time would so easily become a shade. As far as
: his appearance in Myth III, well, I call it
: coincidence.

Why would there be a shade named Mazzarin and not be the corpse of the Avatara Mazzarin that is talked about. Don't you think that would be silly. There are few shades in Myth 1 and 2.... Why have a shade be called the same as the most powerful Avatara of all time Mazzarin. Maybe if there were many shades you could be right. You might be thinking that how the greatest Avatara of all time would so easily become a shade... well Mazzarin fought 7 waves of Thrall but we don't know how large were the waves or if he only fought the Thrall. Or if he had just return from another battle... meaning he could have been tired before the 1st wave came. WE know Mazzarin was the greatest Avatara and that The Watcher was the 2nd or 3rd most powerfull sorcerer of all time, but The Watcher wasn't an Avatara and it is not said that Mazzarin is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc most powerfull socerer of all time... meaning The Watcher could have been more powerfull or maybe he had an advantage of having defeated Mazzarin while he was tired after the Thrall or even if he came tired in the first place.

: If Soulblighter buried the Tain, and nearly 1,000 years
: passes, don't you think the landscape would have
: changed drastically. If I buried a box by a tree, and
: came back 1,000 years later, most likely that tree
: would be gone, and weather would have raised or
: lowered the landscape, etc...

I thought about that too. But why hasn't he found it earlier (i know you might say maybe he didn't want to or something like that)... we are NEVER told that Damas hid the Tain or any other artifact in Myth 1 or 2. Myth 3 is just a 3rd party theory trying to make money. : )

: According to Myth III, he is.

Like I said before in Myth 1 or 2 it is not said Damas was a Heron Guard Captain... Yes I know that in some pre-released info it is said Soulblighter is an anicient evil. But if you are going to consider Myth 3 why not that pre-release too? (This is more of a retorical question, I don't really want an answer)

: How long ago would make it ancient? Ancient is one's own
: perception of time. Soulblighter, supposedly not too
: long after Myth III, went to the East and learned Dark
: Magics, and performed a self heart transplant. Let's
: say that was 900 years before TFL. To many, a guy who
: can live that long would be considered as ancient.
: Myrdred, again according to Myth III, was semi-evil
: during the game, therefore, he would have been evil
: for 1,000 years. Add the Watcher, who we know has been
: a bad dude since birth, and you've got three.

Yeah, yeah, but we are never told that Damas was evil during that time. It is just said he was gone but we never see him as an evil guy until he appears with Balor.
We know The Watcher is an anicient evil... maybe Soulblighter is as old as he.

: The Smiths put themselves inside the Tain to guard
: against the Spider God's spirit from returning to the
: world. Again, according to Myth III, they were
: seperate people. The pictures inside the Tain may have
: been draen by the Smiths to mark the Exits (stretching
: here).

In Myth 1 and 2 it seems to imply that the Smiths and the Spider-Cult were the same people. In Myth 3 it is clearly stated that they are seperate people. So this contradicts Myth.

: Someone that evil must have been lying.

I know The Head could most likely be lying, but he seemed very specific that he was an Avatara and so on... maybe he was and is saying the truth incase the Avatara might have heard of an Avatara under Connachts command. Or maybe The Head said he was an Avatara to gain the trust of The Nine who ever Avatara.

: Oh, man. I can't believe I just defended Myth III. I now
: hang my head in shame.

::shoots Zandervix out of his misery::
