He has been off in the east for longer than that. He hasn't heard of them, nor that the Herons had become journeymen yet. He knows very little about what's been happening in the west for the past few centuries.
I think I'm just going to go ahead and post this story in installments, because it's going to be pretty long, I think. I've written a little more, but I don't have it handy.

PS: Later in the story, you'll see that I've stolen the name of that plugin you get in Myth: The Total Codex, Seven Phoenix Rising. I've always rather liked that Heron name.
