Hmmm....I'd have to play it again, but I don't remember the healing effect completely stopping before SB turned into crows and ran away. I think it's possible that his doing that actually broke the healing spell.

The heal itself is very powerful, as it can even restore a stoned fg/trow to life, albeit with stranger mechanics.
