: However things didn;t go to plan and the Watcher fails to
: get the Codex, why SB was watching you at Covenant? to
: check on the Watchers progress, why he didn't attack,
: one it was a large group and he was one (albeit very
: powerful) warrior. 2, the Journeyman, who he had to
: get to to get the Codex and who he knew could unheal
: him. Thus he flies off and being so close to the Tain
: anyway he continues to search for it.
This has lead me to a different view of the Heron Guard. We know they were the most elite fighters of their time-but there may be more to them than meets the eye.
We know they each have the ability to carry and use mandrake roots. I have always just assumed this to be for self healing purposes during battle. But, since they were supposed to be something of the "ultimate guard" against darkness, those roots were meant for diabolically powerful undead enemies? Perhaps they knew that unhealing was their most powerful weapon against those resurrected against them?
I mean, it doesnt seem like just coincidence that the journeymen/herons can practically kill someone like soulblighter in one on one combat. I believe this was a premeditated ability.
