: Then you have to consider the spiders. In the flavor text
: of the spiders, and in the manuals, it notes that at
: least some of the spiders live in this world, and came
: up from underground caverns or something similar.

Those spiders would be those that the dwarves failed to kill off in Myth III, you hardly expect them to nab them all,

:The Tain logically would take you to those caverns.

The tain, as we know is a highly compicated piece of kit, but if it does, as you say take you to anotehr dimension, then its just a handheld Worldknot isn;t it. And shattering it would trap you in the other dimension, and I think the words to shatter from within suggest that it captures people within it.

"Murgen believes us to be trapped INSIDE the Tain"
"A secret EXIT from the Tain"
"been imprisoned IN the Tain"

: Otherwise you'd have me believe it was a mini-universe?
yes, thats what all the clear signs point to, I don;t see how you could have any porblem with it, You already belive that 14 foot stone giants and 3 foot guys who are knacky with a hammer exist, whats so unbelivably about this?
