I don't know that language so I would not know. It might be a better sounding name for the "Berserk" in that language.

Again with this. Like I said before ... "once human..". They are not saying once human but now minions of The Dark. They are saying these minions of the Dark were once humans.
These once human minions of The Dark...
These minions of The Dark were once human.
It is just reworded.
Instead of having two sentences they reworded and combined them. At first I also thought the same, but I thought it for a second. Say it slooooowly. In parts and maybe you will understand me.
