He is not the real Watcher, or, that arm is not his. I actually like Inhuman's theory about the mirror image. I think it solves a lot of things. And it makes sense to bring in Tramist's Mirror.

A decoy is exactly what I think it was. A decoy which failed though. It was supposed to get Alric's attention so Soulblighter could nail him at the Gjol. Alric's tactical brain figured out that he could split his forces. SB, seeing the power of Alric when faced by the armies of two fallen Lords, realised his master might just die so flew to the Devoid to stop Alric there.
