Alric was down to less then half of a full Legion, and I don't think anyone would be confident of taking on a Fallen Lord in a open battle under those conditions.
He's an interesting enigma to me. Not that "cool" but he'd be high on the list of people I want to learn more about (if given a total codex style tome)
