In Response To: Re: More proof the Watcher is Calliach (kalamadea MIA)

: I just want to point out that this threads been alive
: since 2001.

: But its a great thread, so its worth it :P

: Now, another watcher question. We all know that the
: deceiver whupped him after Tyr. And that the watcher
: is supposed to be the 2nd or 3rd most powerful
: sorcerer in living memory.

: But we also know that the Watcher was imprisoned by
: ?connacht??. Is it possible that he could have come
: back weakened from long years of captivity, and had
: not yet returned to his previous state of power?

: I just dont think that the deceiver should have had such
: an easy time with the dude who killed mazzarin.
: Granted, mazzarin went through seven waves of thrall
: first...but I just cant see the watcher as being as
: strong as he was supposed to be before his captivity.
: And how big is a "wave of thrall", anyways?
: We usually see them in groups of like 20 or so...

that's gameplay. Hundreds of Thrall would be next to unstopable by our pathetically tiny forces.

A wave of thrall in my not humble opinion would be AT LEAST several hundred to the size of a legion if not larger (the Roman ones, and therefore 5000-6000)

weakened by long years of captivity? hmmmm, perhaps.
Anyone who can kill the most powerful Avatara of the Four Ages should be able to STOMP on Myrdred/The Deciever

So here's my 1 on 1 (that is, not with an army)Power Scale of Archmages we get a chance to see or hear reliable stuff on (GURPS not counting until I read it)

Mazzarin
The Deciever
The Watcher
Balor? (Maybe here)
Rabican
Alric (no Eblis stone)
The rest of the Nine and the Fallen in some order.

Anyone who wants to comment feel free to. But don't make a big deal about it. If you like making mountains out of foothills (it's more then a molehill) e-mail me and give me a good reason to respond and we can talk all you like about this. If not, I probably won't post much in this thread because it wandered too much off topic (IMO).
