In Response To: More proof the Watcher is Calliach (necrolyte AKA Halforc)

: 2nd or 3rd most powerful in living memory. There were
: trow and some other members of some other species who
: were alive duiring the calliach days (considerin the
: tr0 are immortal and infertile, right?)

I just want to point out that this threads been alive since 2001.

But its a great thread, so its worth it :P

Now, another watcher question. We all know that the deceiver whupped him after Tyr. And that the watcher is supposed to be the 2nd or 3rd most powerful sorcerer in living memory.

But we also know that the Watcher was imprisoned by ?connacht??. Is it possible that he could have come back weakened from long years of captivity, and had not yet returned to his previous state of power?

I just dont think that the deceiver should have had such an easy time with the dude who killed mazzarin. Granted, mazzarin went through seven waves of thrall first...but I just cant see the watcher as being as strong as he was supposed to be before his captivity. And how big is a "wave of thrall", anyways? We usually see them in groups of like 20 or so...
