That's an interesting theory...I vote for an easter egg or shortcut since in the myth 2 intro, he only turns in to a flock of crows after hacking off the head of the dwarf and the devoid is about to explode.
I think that it is true that if a Fallen Lord could be defeated by healing him or her it would be way too easy.
But I stick to my theory on it.
