: Just curious as to where everyone got their Myth

Kind of a long story. I'll be merciful and make it as brief as possible for those who actually read on =)
Although there were a few influences, one of them was more significant than the others. I had typed up an official-looking doc (complete with watermark & other bells and whistles) so my former fellow students could sign it to keep them out of any more trouble. Any signatory who violated the agreement (by making our teacher flip out) would have to put 5 bucks into a pot. You can see where that's going.
Well, after I typed up the doc, I still had to think of a name for it. I thought "concord" sounded cool, so I put that in. But it was missing something. In frustration (something I still do, btw) I threw fingers across the keyboard, hitting totally random keys. Expecting to see gibberish like "askght" I looked at the screen. Sure enough, it happened to type the letters "wenire" or "welnire" instead. I ran with it, and it became the highly successful "Welnire Concord".
From that point onwards, the word "Welnire" sat like a fat man in his favorite chair inside my subconscious. A natural-sounding Nickname for a person named Welnire would be Welly, I assumed, and after awhile, it stuck.
Before that, I was on B.net with the title "Admiral -‹Navy›-" out of spite for an old Army-order guy that made a scene after I nailed him with a zook RPG. Before that point I haven't a clue what names I used.
For some time I tired of Welly and brought back Admiral, then shifted to "Farticus" briefly. Heh. But the Admiral died finally after a late-night losing-spree against a group of old friends on yg's IP server. When I changed the name back to Welly, and played them a few days afterward, it was like a totally different game. The name had returned some old confidence, and game after game of ass-kicking, the night --or very early morning-- culminated when flying, flaming satchel charges pounded into TPH's soulless and melee ten feet away from where I ignited them, and when I pulled a micro-managed victory when outnumbered 3 to 1 by Yeeg's berserks, which he swears I cheated because he was micro-managing too.
I screamed something like "OMG WELLY FOERVER!!!" and that was that.
