Well, because Herons are named after their number in their class and the Acit El year, we have a pretty clear Heron name generation system.
1st element: Number. If initiated during the Cath Bruig's period of prosperity, probably between One and Six, but numbers as high as Fourteen have been seen, presumably raised during times of trouble.
2nd element: Year "1st Digit": Flint, Eagle, Motion, Heron Waiting, Pride, Vulture, Stone, Serpent, Lizard, Wind, Crocodile, Bloody, Rabbit, Jaguar, Obsidian, Devil, Monkey, Deer.
3rd element: Year cycle: Deer, Falling Sun, Bloody Jaguar, Cactus, Stalking Rabbit, Drum, Reed, Seeking Shadow, Tongue, Red Skull, Puma, Falling Eagle, Lizard, Rising Puma, Rain, Flower, Bloody Crocodile, Fleeing Jaguar, White Flower, Heron, Green Talon, Dog Star, Burning Skull, Bloody Sun, Fire Serpent, Burning Stone, Jaguar Claw, Sun Collar, Wind, Moon Stone, Moon Eagle.
