The Black Company is a series of novels written by fantasy-ish genre writer Glen Cook. The Myth games smell suspiciously like the names, style, and themes of these novels. It's painfully evident upon reading these books that Bungie wasn't as original as we wanted them to be.

PS: Go to your closest book store and scour it for TBC books. Buy every one you find, and send me any extra copies for my uber-collection :) If you need help on which order to read them, let me know, I've figured it out after referring to almost every possible source.
