I always though of Forest Giants as extremely powerful warriors, but pacafists, only fighting when they had to. I think they could have beaten the Trow in the first war
but they Chickened out. In the FG wars I suspect the used swords of some sort and only adapated using Hammers when they found they work better against lots of tiny warriors at your feet, whereas a sword is better for comabating things your own size.
