Its kind of late here so I will have to make this brief, more later hopefully.
First off, I did not say that Shiver was not a fearsome opponent, only that she may have been weaker at that time than the other fallen. I do know that she gained a lot of power after she was plucked from the ether by Soulblighter; and if she was more powerful than SB why did she not kill him, you know, to press the war on her own agenda?
I think you may be right about Mississan or what ever his name is. I still think he was a eastern avatara, but he may have been killed in the west, or at least not in Muirthemni.
Balor was not a fallen lord, I did know this. When I made that statement I had almost no information on bonespliter and the facless man(who I used to think was soulblighter), no one ever talked about them, so I thought maybe they were killed in the war with cath'bruig or were so weak compared to the primary four that they were consigned to "clean up duty".
Thanks for the information on the Deceiver. I just have one question, wasn't he one of the "new" fallen lords, someone said that he was turned to the dark in the wolf age.
I will stick to my theory that Shiver was the one that tryed to cross the stair of grief early on in the war in the west because,
1. We know that there were three very powerful fallen lords in the northern and central part of cath'bruig at the time of the crossing and the fall of muirthemni. The Watcher, The Deceiver, and Shiver. Ether the Watcher or the Deceiver helped Balor over power Muirthemni, both could not have been present because they would have fought each other. It would not make sense for Balor to not have his most powerful servant on hand to attack what surly was the most heavily fortified city on the continent, with elite troops(even with the Herons missing) manning the walls. That means that unless there were more pressing issues north than the destruction of what was the backbone of what was still a formidable foe, the Watcher would have been there.
2. Shiver has proven that her weaknesses are vanity and impatience. So she would have been most likely to try to cross first. Also remember that because of her vanity she would have held the west in contempt, making her careless and lead to her being repulsed.
3. If you say the Watcher was the one to try to cross you are also stating that he was beaten by forces that were hastily put together and had no experience fighting a fallen lord. The Watcher was the most powerful of the fallen at that time, and he proved to use that if he wanted to go somewhere he would go, no matter what was in front of him. I seriously doubt that even the fierce warriors that opposed the crossing could have stopped him.
Well that's all for now, a bit longer than I wanted but...
Let me know if I forgot or mixed up any facts.
