: I got the Myth TFL demo on a MacFormat CD of my brother's
: some time in 1997. We both got heavily into it and
: bought the full game. Then Myth 2 came. We played
: through them together but he was better at the game. I
: was far more interested in the story and music and
: what made the game's atmosphere so outstanding.
: I wondered if there was anyone else on the net who shared
: my feelings to the game and did some searches for
: story aspects on Google. Myth@Bungie.org kept on
: turning up but I always ignored it as I thought
: (stupidly) that it was an offcial Bungie site and they
: wouldn't give any info that wasn't in the game.
: Eventually I took the plunge having found little else
: of interest. It was then that I realised how much I
: was missing and I quickly read through everything in
: Legends and Lore. Only then did I venture a post here
: at the Asylum. It was something about Myrmidons in the
: Iliad
: (http://carnage.bungie.org/myth/asylum/asylum.forum.pl?read=11481)
: as I was sudying it at school. I got a really
: encouraging response from Sili and quickly became more
: involved here.
: As I became more and more involved, I started coming up
: with interesting theories with diagrams and such but
: couldn't post them easily.
: I then went on a trip to Ireland with my family for two
: weeks. During our stay in Dublin, we went to the
: Trinity College museum and, because I had heard Irish
: mythology had influenced Myth, I looked through some
: of the books in the giftshop finding shedloads of
: stuff. The result of my research was the article on
: Celtic Mythology in Relics.
: A short time after, Forrest announced his
: "semi-resignation" from the site and I
: jumped on the opportunity.
: Through this site I started checking out the other
: bungie.org sites and sometimes pop my head into hbo
: and the story page. I think the Bungie community is
: such a cool society and my hope is that I will soon
: get to meet all you guys in the flesh.
: I now have full FTP privs here and am trying to put some
: more content on the site to bring back some activity.
: I'm really glad with the crrent spurt in action here
: and I hope more is still to come.
: Oh, and Happy Bungie Day everyone.
