: Well I always thought that he wasn't refering to THE
: mazzarin but the SHADE mazzarin… And This may be a
: little out there but this can explain that
: conversation quite easily... Sinis was one of the
: Nine, he whent to the shrine of Nyxt and Mazzarin (NOT
: THE GREAT WIZARD (Or that wizard as a shade if you
: want to think of it that way) the SHADE dropped the
: shrine on him. Since in TFL the dark just raised the
: dead avatars, then thats how he became a shade. and
: then alric is like "Woa! Sinis! I thought you
: were dead when that *Shade* Mazzarin dropped the
: shrine on you! then sinis is like "Oh yeah but im
: evil now so die" and then they fight :) if you
: think about this this is not only an argument that
: sinis was one of the nine but could be evidence that
: mazzarin was resurected as a shade (although i do not
: personally beleive this)
'nother old thread...
Personally I think that either Sinis means the Light when says you "Indeed Alric..."
Since Sinis is a SINISter (no joke intended) name it's not likely that he was a member of the Nine.
Perhaps then he would have changed his name, after becoming a Shade.
Wait...
he cann't be one of the Nine.
"At the behest of the Nine..."
Therefore since the journal writer tells us when (to his knowledge) members of the Nine have fallen in battle,
"Which makes them something like the Three now..."
I think he would point it here.
OF course, why would the Nine, as upposed to Maeldun (who seems to be in the area) order that the champions be picked to rescue Alric?
