Take a look around your local bookstore, or check out Barnes and Noble's Books, or another large chain-store like Border's Books and Musics. In the Fantasy section, these books (by Glen Cook) deceivingly look like just-more-fantasy-shelf-filler. But trust me, they're something more. Much more.
You'll be shocked and terrified at how much Myth stinks... REEKS of The Black Company. The more I read, the more I'm convinced that it was the heaviest influence on Myth.
