Since when do you have to be subservient to another deity in order to be a demon? Since when do you have to have worshippers? Since when do you have to use symbolismn that doesn't exist in the Myth world if you live on the Myth world?
If demons exist then they can do so whether you believe in them or not.
And besides, who wants human followers when you're driven by a feral need to eat all humans?
And the Packmages are anything BUT semi-intelligent. For a start, they can read.
