Hey guys, I love principia of Mythica (sorry if i've misspelled). And I have the explanation to this problem:
The two sides of the Myth world are different dimensions. And the land east of the edge of all is another dimension, the dark dimension. So, the tain is in the middle of the three dimensions and it have to be another dimension.
Ok do you follow me?
In different dimensions the time passes at differents speeds, so one year inside the tain could be a second on the Myth world. It's like in digimon, for example. (That program sucks)
So when the legion spent two days on escapping the tain only less than a second passed between the capture and the escape in Myth world.
I think the Smiths done this becouse they wanted, because they were very busy men: they had to construct the world knots and another more artifacts no menctioned in Myth yet. So if they went in the tain they will spend some days escapping, but only few seconds of the Myth world, so they don't waste time.
