Heh, there's this other game out there, kinda Myth-like but from a first person perspective, called Sacrifice. One of the funniest things in it is what happens when you lose. The levels you're playing are supposedly your character retelling the events leading up to the end of the world, to some old seer AT the end of the world. So when you lose, as the level reloads, in place of the normal prelevel narration, you get to hear "Of course, that's not how it REALLY happened..." and then you get to replay it until you play how it really happened (IOW until you win).
