It just says he moved it to Madrigal... for all we know he moved it because he likes Madrigal.
Madrigal was leveled (presumably) in TFL. It falls at the very end of the War. So I would immagine that the Fallen Lord (whoever he is) who took Madrigal, destroyed it.
Rebuilding Madrigal is not exactly going to be a brief thing either.(after Soulbighter)
Almost nothing is left standing West of the the Cloudspine.
Not the Free Cities of the North... not the Province.
Alric now has to rebuild most of the Myth world... besides maybe Gower, the Dwarven lands and the Fir Bolg lands.
Oh, and the Berserk homelands.
