I'll put it this way.
The words that I would use to describe Myrdred would probably get me (me personally,not the Watcher) in serious trouble. (GDMFSOBA is the abervation)
And I agree the GURPS explanation is better... just losing a big battle wouldn't make me hate someone to the "attack on sight" level
I'm not sure if it fits the story better though, but it does sound more likely.
