: It's only herons that live that long. That and apparently
: some mages can projong their lives as well (Deciever,
: Watcher, etc…). This journeyman quote explains why
: they are 'deathless': "Their healing ritual has
: its roots in the initiation rites of the Heron Guard,
: but what brings about immortality in a truly
: exceptional person merely restores the vitality of
: lesser men."
: So since all heron are exeptional (they didn't go through
: those tests for nothing) they are in essence immortal.
: The rest of the Bruig aren't.

So are the Herons truely (short of dying in battle) inmortal or do they just live a very long time?
Since they are warriors, I doubt we could say for certain how long a Heron Guard would live if not killed in battle.
Also, would a mage who resists aging, would that have to be a deliberate thing (forcing back the aging process with your magical energies) or would it be those who with magical talent will age slower naturally (without forcing it back as a deliberate act)?
