No insult to Blizzard, but the stuff they leave unsaid is not vital to the plot. At least not in Warcraft in my memory.
It's more like a "and then what?" then something like Myth's unknowns.
Of course I haven't played any the Blizard games (besides Starcraft) recently so my memory could be just shot to hell on them.
Myth starts you 17 years into a war that began (counting Balor conquering the Cath Bruig) more then half a century ago.
No other game I know of has over 50 years of stuff that lead up to the mess you are in now that is worth debating the way we do the Myth story.
Of course, as usually *Disclaimer*, I could be wrong.
May very well be in fact...
But this is not a fun thread to continue so unless someone wants to make a point let's stop it here.
