: 5{ Myth III does not seem to be a battlemage,
: if
: I'd put Alric (in both games) below The Deceiver and The
: Watcher. To defeat Soulblighter, he needed both
: Balmung AND the Ibis Crown, and to defeat Balor he
: needed one of the elbis(?) stones, all three of which
: gave him tremendous power. Since the power rested in
: the artifacts and not himself, I'd argue that
: indicates that he's pretty weak. Artifacts aside,
: Alric is a really good one-on-one fighter, but doesn't
: do too well against large groups of creatures (on
: legendary, which is the only thing that counts). His
: dreams are really good, but he only has three of them
: at a time (how does he replenish them, anyway?), so
: four medium-size groups of relatively strong units are
: going to give him problems.
How much does the Ibis Crown actually do though?
The only thing we can tell for certain about it is that it is the Crown of the Emperor of the Cath Bruig and that it is very powerful.
Good point about his in game ablities.
But we do not (at least I have seen nothing showing it) know the Watchers abilities, so I'm not sure if you are right.
Alric is however a very good general, which along with the artifacts, wins him both wars.
