Living memory would probably be the journal writer's (who we shall assume is a Warrior for this arguement) idea of living memory, nothing more then about 50 years max.
On a serious note, would a Shade (powerwise) be equal to a living Avatara? In Out of the Barrier Alric and Sinis(I think he's the one) fight and Alric wins. Since we know Shades are not as powerful as the Fallen Lords.
Are the Fallen Lords more powerful then the Nine avatara 1 on 1? Rabican defeats Shiver because of her vanity. But we never see any other 1 on 1 avatara verus Fallen Lords duels. If the Fallen Lords are more powerful I can only wonder why it has taken them 17 years to all but conquer the West.
