The thing about Celtic Mythology is there is no real good/bad guy. This comes from the Classical style that shows gods fighting on both sides in battles. The 'hero' and 'enemy' all depend on who is telling the story. There are exceptions where one enemy is purely evil such as the Fomorian Balor. Bungie took this stance with Myth as the Leveller is clearly pure evil seeking not to conquer but to destroy.

CuChulainn was seen as a great enemy by the people of Connacht who he was fighting against for the people of Ulster, but by the writer of the Tain they are the enemy. However, in later stories, they are portrayed as good. His traits in battle and the manner of his death are what make him similar to Balor.
