: I marathon, it's easy to see who the hero with a thousand
: faces is: you, the player. But in Myth, I'm having
: trouble identifying who this hero is. According to the
: L&L section, there's a cool theory about the
: "Deuling Champions," which is something like
: the hero mythos. But does that indicate who the Hero
: of the story is? Everybody knows that any Greek
: "Myth" has a hero, but in this game, who is
: he???
: (I have a great interest in the philosophy of Joseph
: Campbell. And Nietzsche. That's why I'm so messed up.)

Well, the hero would be the so-called anti-Leveller, because it is he who defends the world from the Leveller and orchestrates his defeat, and as the M2 epilogue says (paraphrased here): "In every Age a new hero arises to defeat the Leveller. The Hero is one who faces the Darknes with unflinching courage."
So, no one hero, but rather a hero for each time that nasty Leveller shows his face again.
