Well I liked the game. Though the Myrks were pretty annoying.
The first images I saw of Myth III was that lowa ngle shot of a Thrall, whit a night sky overhead, that was just chilling. I looked forward to seeing the Myrks. However I was dissappointed with flat arsed glorified rabbits. Kinda cheesed my off.
They were slightly improved, but still fairly tame. The Giant Myrk was easy kill in the Two levels I met it and the Pack mage was underused too and the rest of the Myrks were tame. The got killed off too early aswell. The first level is the best Myrk level, cos its a all Myrks an isn't really easy cos they come from all directions. The story of the Myrks was good, even the sketches potrayed their ferocity, but the units themselves didn;t make you cower in fear like they did in myth II. (Though in Gate of Storms I feared fetched more, since it was right after I had met them the first time when the obliterated my best archers. (I to played them backwards))
Other than that the gameplay was good, and more exciting than Myth I or II. The wights though harder to kill don't look as good as they used to.
Plot wise it was pretty good, but I prefered the more personnel feel of the Jornal. Tharsis, the Province, and Myrk V Trow being left was annoying too. Other than that it had a good story, the ending tugging a few heartstrings. Though it didn't give allot to debate about, it was a very 'wrapped up' story line.
Good game, but if Mumbo Jumbo do a myth IV, it would rock.
