There is another post dedicated purely to this matter on the Asylum index.

I agree that whatever binding Alric claimed Balor had over the rest of the Fallen was false. We know for a fact that the Fallen Lords did not die immediately after Balor's death. If there was any "binding" it damn well wasn't magical.
