: In the Wolf Age, With Mazzarin, the prime canadate,
: exempt from the "tides of light and dark"
: Mjarin was easily corrupted into being possesed having no
: soul already. Whether he was possesed before or after
: becoming Imperiel advisor is unknown.
This is hard to say, because we have no idea of what Mjarin's history was before he became the Leveller. He could have been involved in the fight against the original Moagim. He could have just been some other powerful wizard's corpse that the Leveller took up residence in. I still incline towards him being involved in Moagim's defeat - because there's no evidence either way to say if Mazzarin was killed by Bahl'al BEFORE or AFTER Moagim - (although it's safe to say, I think, that the Avatara order was already established by then, as I've read somewhere that Avatara were involved in the fight against Moagim, though I can't remember for the life of me where..). .... another potential candidate that could have been the Leveller but didn't was the woman who broke away from the Avatara order founded the Warlocks of Scholomance
And I dn't know if Mazzarin is entirely immune - he DOES appear a few thousand years later as a shade...
