Well, I will give you that. The giants would have to be better equipped upstairs than your average krid to survive long enough to grow into a giant; but I think they are still no more intelligent then say ohhhhh, a ghol? Heh, maybe more than a drunken ghol. Ghols are capable of thought, and rudimentary tactics. For any thing more than flanking, scouting or setting an ambush you would need a more intelligent creature. Maybe that's why soulblighter lost his war, most of the intelligent dark units, Trow and myramridons were either gone or defected to the light. Sorry if I got sidetracked there. Any way, I would say that your average myrkidia is dumber than a ghol, and a giant only slightly more so. I don't believe that I have ever seen the myrkidian Giants use magic, where have you seen this?
I just had an interesting thought. What if most of Morgrims krid Giants were killed in the fight with the forest giants? That would remove all potential resistance to his hold on that race, making them more evil as well as ensureing that all future giants would be loyal to him. Its a thought.
