I beg to differ. The ghols had more important things to do, like tracking down every single remaining dwarf in existance and eating them. I don't think the ghols had that much beef with Gower. While they do seem to range far afield from their lands, it usually seems that the further ghols get from the Dark Lords commanding them, the more chaotic and tribe-like they become (see that Trow level in Myth2). They like to cause destruction, but they wouldn't attack Gower if they weren't too organized and didn't have a major hatred for it.
