Here is my peace-loving analysis (based almost entirely on Myth II):
So far, the only accents that I have been unable to place are Soublighter, Shiver and Balor... Alric and the Deciever have Sean-Connery-style scottish burrs, though not as strong as the Zerks, who are not as aristocratic... Warriors (except garric) are from some neutral spot in the British Isles, while the Archers are destinctly plummy. Journeymen, villagers, Garric et al are from the same side of the Pond as Doug Zartman... I think the dwarves sound very American too...
And why not, I may ask... Considering the variety of accents and dialects in Dublin, let alone something as horriffic as London, and it is not unimaginable that the different social classes in the Myth world have their own peculiar accents... That we Earthlings see a resemblance between the Upper-Crust Aristo's accents with our own Scotland is just as much of a coincidence as that their rabble and plebs have an accent that reminds us of our dearly beloved Americans...
If I had a point, I would have written it and sent it waaaay before now...
