: I don't think it says anywhere in Myth 2 that the
: Myrkridia were destroyed. We can assume that
: Soulblighter's forces with him at the time were
: destroyed, but thats about it. Remember that he was
: warping Myrkridia into the cavern UNTIL HE DIED. If he
: had not died when he did, does that mean that there
: were more out there that were gonna be transported in?
When the Deceiver's forces killed the Summoner Soulblighter's access to the Myrkridia was cut off.So even if he had survived the war no new Myrkridia could have been resurrected.
: Also, the Codex says that The Summoner would bring the
: Myrkridia back and cause an evil that would ravage the
: world or something like that.... they did not seem to
: do much destruction in Myth II. Sure they got
: Madrigal, but thats about it. We never saw them
: slaughtering villiagers and eating their heads (btw I
: can see a future Myth game include head
: consumption....) so really it seems that they were
: makign a bigger thing than neede out of it, even more
: so when you consider that the Myrk were back for a
: year or two.
What do you mean?!I think they caused PLENTY of death and destruction. Not to mention the fact that The Summoner had been resurrecting their race for years! There were probably hundreds of thousands of them!
: So I think that perhaps there are thousands of Myrkridia
: still alive, no?
I think so too, although I personally doubt that they could breed.Otherwise why would Soulblighter even depend on the Summoner.
: and for those who want Myth III spoilers; an answer to
: the Myrmidon unit question below
: "Maybe they're secret units, like the Myrkridia in
: Myth II? I'm not saying it will happen, just that it
: might be a possibility.
: LR"
: sorry but they're not :( oh well that would be one more
: unit that MJ would have to do, which means that many
: more bugs heh. If they did not have so many units they
: might have had time to but in warr block (btw no
: anti-Myth 3 feeling here; i LOVE the game!)
:(
: there :)
